The danger of an electric cigarette/vape is believed to be less harmful than ordinary tobacco cigarettes. This belief then has evolved into a global trend. Although at first, many people use vapes as a replacement for tobacco cigarettes, today, even non-smokers are attracted to vaping. The community of vapers has brought smoking to a whole new level that includes performance.
What is Vaping?
Vape or electric cigarette is one type of electronic nicotine conductor. This device is designed to help tobacco cigarette addicts ditch their tobacco rolls. By switching from tobacco cigarettes to e-cigarettes, smokers are safe from tar, the most harmful residue that acts as a carcinogen to the lungs.
E-cigs come in various shapes and sizes, but there are three main components in e-cigarettes: batteries, heating elements, and tubes containing liquid (cartridge). The liquid in this tube contains nicotine, propylene glycol or glycerin, and flavor enhancers, such as the taste of fruits and chocolate. Some e-cigarettes have rechargeable batteries and cartridges.
Electric cigarettes work by heating the liquid in the tube and then producing steam like smoke which generally contains various chemicals. The user inhales this chemical directly from the funnel.
The Device Models
You can find e-cigarettes in various shapes and sizes. Here are the types of e-cigarettes that you should know:
Pen Vape
As the name suggests, this one cigarette is shaped like a pen and is the smallest vape compared to other types of vape. The workings of this type of vape are the same as different types, namely by heating vape liquid to produce steam. There are two types of heating elements that can be selected to heat the vape type pen fluids, namely:
- Atomizer. This part is a heating element to heat vape fluids containing nicotine. The atomizer usually has to be replaced if the heat produced has decreased in quality because it can alter the smoke’s taste. Close to the atomizer, there is a tank where the material will be heated.
- Cartomizer. This compartment is a combination of cartridge and atomizer. In this arrangement, heated components come into direct contact with the heating element.
For the heating mechanism, the vaporizer pen requires batteries as energy. This battery can be recharged and usually has a fixed voltage of 3.7 V, but there are also batteries with adjustable voltage. And some batteries can even have 1300 mAh power. Therefore, you must be careful with vape batteries because they can explode. Store this device out of reach of children.
Portable Vape
This type of vaporizer is larger than the pen type vaporizer. Even so, a portable vaporizer can still be inserted into your pocket. Not much different from a vaporizer pen, this type of vaporizer also has a heating element and battery components.
But in portable vaporizers, vape fluids do not come in direct contact with heating elements, resulting in better taste and less smoke. While portable vaporizer battery life is usually strong, it lasts 2-3 hours or even more.
Desktop Vape
